Shub-Niggurath: The Black Goat

Some gods want worship. This one only wants to multiply.

Shub-Niggurath is the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young, a thing of dark forests and endless fertility, worshipped in clearings where the trees lean wrong and the roots move on their own. She is not cruel so much as fecund beyond all reason, spilling out monstrous offspring without end, the blind hunger of life itself made into a god. Cultists call her name into the dark, and the dark answers, wet and bleating.

Ia! Shub-Niggurath! goes the old cry, the Black Goat with a Thousand Young, and the woods have not been truly empty since.
