Odin gave an eye for a single drink of wisdom and called it a bargain.
The Allfather wanted to know everything, and knowing always had a price he was willing to pay. He left one eye in Mimir's well for a sip of its water. He hung himself from the world tree for nine nights, pierced by his own spear, without food or drink, until the runes rose to meet him. He traded comfort, an eye, and very nearly his life, all for understanding.
So he wanders the nine worlds in a wide hat and a grey cloak, two ravens on his shoulders carrying back the news of everything, a god who chose to see clearly even after it cost him half his sight.
Caught here mid-wander, the kept eye burning. Printed heavy on garment dyed cotton, for the ones who would trade comfort for the truth of a thing.
